My little guardian

Coke has always been a calm cat. He seems to know when he is needed. When I was having simultaneous chemo and radiation, he would be waiting for me at home every day. He would stand on guard if I went to the bathroom or even while I slept. I was staying with relatives and they always knew when I was in the bathroom, Coke would be parked outside the room with his back to the door. He has eased up a bit over the years, he only guards the bathroom door now when I have visitors.

What a wonderful lifelong friend you have there !!!
I recently had a stay in the hospital and when I got home both of my dogs acted as if I had been gone for a million years. They both had to sit on my lap at the same time which is no easy feat because one is a Sheppard Akita mix and the other one is a full grown American Foxhound so both are pretty big dogs. As uncomfortable as it was I was in bliss the whole time they sat here !!

That sounds so wonderful! No matter if you have been away or how bad a day you have had they are always glad to see you, no strings attached.. I love big dogs, I had 2 german shepards (police rejects). They were great. I pity people who don’t have pets or do have pets but do not bond with them.
